Graduate Student
I am a third year graduate student in the BCMB program at Weill Cornell Graduate School. I received my B.S. from Binghamton University where I studied microbiological cycling of toxic trace metalloids in the Kulp lab. Post-graduation I joined the Kirkman Lab as a research technician, focusing on anti-malarial compound development and drug resistance in Babesia microti. I returned to the research group to attain my PhD in the Deitsch lab. I am interested in understanding the factors that influence translational control in P. falciparum.
When I am not in the lab I spend my free time outdoors as much as possible. I enjoy running, biking, and hiking. I try to get out to the mountains a few times a year for snowboarding.
