Frances grew up in Rockville, Maryland, then graduated from New York University in 2018 with a degree in biology. While at NYU, she worked in the lab of Dr. Eli Rothenberg where she studied the function of BRCA2 in DNA replication and repair. Frances joined the BCMB program at Weill Cornell later in 2018 and joined Dr. Sabine Ehrt’s lab the following year. Her research project focuses on how Mycobacterium tuberculosis survives intracellular stress conditions.
